Review: Sense of Spirits, Sector 29, Gurgaon

Visited the place on a shiny sunny day. Located above warehouse cafe in sector 29 market of Gurgaon. Greeted well by the manager Mr. Nirmal Jha, we took the dining area table. A place where the name suggests that it is all about drinks and alcohol, but we must say that has wonderful food as well.IMG_3185

We started our food tasting journey with their aam panna mocktail and watermelon mocktail along with their kaju tikki cutlet, lebanese platter, cheese parcels, anardana paneer tikka and bharwan paneer tikka. Kaju cutlet seemed to be little on drier side, however, Lebanese platter which included pita bread, falafel, Sambosa served with hummus, Baba – ganoush and salad was good. The falafel was crispy n well cooked. The cheese parcels which were made with cheese and jalapeno, became our favourite. With a perfect blend of cheese n jalapenos, it was much better than any other served in other restaurants. Next came the combination of their 2 paneer tikkas. Anardana tikka was crispy n had a perfect flavour of anardana. However, Bharwaan paneer tikka was a let down as the paneer size was big and stuffing was very less to give the flavour to the entire paneer piece.

We then tried their farmhouse thin crus pizza. The pizza was baked to the perfect temperature as it was not dropping from center when picked in hand. With lots of vegetable topping, it is certainly gonna be loved with vegetarians.
In the main-course we tried their dal makhani, paneer lababdar with missi roti n butter nan. Looking at the lounge area, we must compliment them for serving a great choice of food and that too by mantaining the fressness, quality n falvour.

We ended our food review journey with their special dessert Basbousa. A coconut and semolina cake topped with coconut colorful powder.IMG_3196

The place is definitely gonna do good if they serve good food with the lovely drinks.
Thanks Jyoti and Nirmal!
